    JOB SUMMARY

    The PersonFor the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:Be a holder of a Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution of higher learning.At least 2 years' proven Experience in Money Market Deals, Fixed Income (Securities) Deals and Treasury Fixed Deposits and reconciliation of the Money Market and Securities accounts3 years' experience in People ManagementCertification in ACI Operations will be an added advantage.Demonstrated experience in Reconciliation, Risk Management or experience in a similar role.Excellent, high quality interpersonal, presentation, negotiation and communication skills.Good planning and organizational skills.Demonstrated consistent high performance in role(s) held with a successful track record on delivery of results as measured via performance appraisals.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Effective management of the settlement of Money Market Deals in liaison with MM Treasury Dealers of KCB Group to ensure timely settlement. This includes fixed income deals and secondary deals for Bonds/bills and Coupons to mitigate against penalties, reputational and counterparty risks.Manage validation and execution of all Bank and customers Tender application for Primary Treasury Bills and Bonds and execute Fund Managers instructions for FDRs placements and ensure compliance to TAT and CBK standards and guidelines.Ensure adherence to all processing control measures, compliance to SOPs, policies and regulations relating to MM and Bonds Trading, POCAMLA (Proceeds of Crime and Anti Money Laundering Act / Regulations), CTF (Counter Terrorism Financing), DPA (Data Protection Act), etc.Ensure reconciliation of Money Markets and Securities accounts at CBK to identify any unsettled item and to respond to exceptions items by ensuring corrective entries are processed to mitigate risks.Management and resolution of all customer enquiries from branches, other banks and counter parties routed through ECRM and other channels within the stipulated TAT and guidelines.Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in MM and Securities processes to drive efficiency and support implementation of the transformational initiatives such as centralization of processes.Monitor transaction volume trends and plan for adequate resources and capacity to ensure timely settlement and provide performance reports and regular periodic reports.Manage staff performance: set goals and objectives and manage staff productivity to achieve the performance targets. Identify training needs and conduct necessary training Manage leave and absence to ensure adequate capacity and policy compliance.Maintain key relationships for stakeholders involved in the Securities Market and especially CBK, CMA, Fund Managers, and other local banks to ensure speedy adoption to industry changes and standards.Manage Audit issues pertaining to MM and Securities and Implement recommendations to ensure all the Issues are closed as per agreed timelines and underlying risks addressed.
