    What is the job about?

    The primary responsibility for the role is to ensure Municipality and GWI (Ground Water) sales and grow a good relationship with defined Customers in East Africa, primarily Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda & Burundi.

    Responsible for building a significant pipeline and ensure optimum hit rate within the area of responsibility. The Senior Key Account Manager must proactively ensure market knowledge and developments
    Your Main Responsibilities

    Identify and conduct feasibility study of new business with the potential to use Grundfos products and services.

    Execute tactical sales plans and activities in line with the overall sales plans and strategy and assist in budget preparation for sales and marketing activities.

    Prepare annual sales and marketing game plans for the area responsible
    Achieve sales budgets and agreed targets and agreed implementation plans.
    Utilise SAP BW and power BI for business analysis and forecasting.

    Provide advice to customers, consultants, dealers and contractors on products and their performance, new products, product modifications, system solutions, applications, terms of sales, service, replacement, spare parts etc.

    Gather market information on business trends, competitor strategies and activities, and provide recommendation to business managers to counteract competitor strategies.

    Conduct specialised training on products and application for customers, dealers, and customer sales teams.
    Coach and mentor junior team members.
    Register all activities with customers in the global CRM tool
    Register and promote opportunities in the global CRM tool according to company guidelines
    Ensure customer master data is updated on portfolio of customers under their responsibility


    Your background :

    We imagine that you have:
    Experience managing defined processes within Pump Sales related sector.
    Possess industry experience within a business environment; experience working in the water supply sector will be beneficial.
    Most likely to have at least 8-12 years of relevant work experience before entering level besides formal education.
    Solid knowledge of the plans, processes, and activities within the functional area in Water Utility Sector
    Good ability influence others and networking with professionals
    Experience in dealing with Engineering Consultants and specifiers within the pump industry.
    A good technical background in the pump industry and application knowledge
    Use of pump design and specification tools
    Good presentation skills
    BS Degree in any Engineering discipline
