    We are creating the foundations of an idea - a premium experience, sustainable all round, and most importantly delicious restaurant quality delivery-only food that travels well.

    Summary
    We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to join our team. With our commitment to delivering exceptional cuisine, we have multiple kitchen units in Nairobi.

    In this role, you will oversee the culinary operations across one of the units, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality meals, managing kitchen and operations staff, and driving operational efficiency.

    This position requires strong leadership skills, exceptional culinary expertise, and the ability to manage personnel, reporting, P&L management, and food quality management
    Duties and Responsibilities

    Oversee the daily operations of your designated kitchen, ensuring the timely production of ANDO meals while maintaining quality standards.

    Develop and implement standardized recipes, menus, and food preparation procedures.
    Monitor kitchen performance metrics, including food quality, portion control, and presentation, to maintain consistent standards.
    Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
    Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their culinary skills.
    Coordinate staff schedules, conduct performance evaluations, and implement training programs to improve team performance.
    Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, open communication, and adherence to company policies.
    Monitor food costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality. - Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular audits, and minimize food waste.
    Prepare regular reports on operational performance, including food costs, sales, and profitability.
    Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize operational efficiency and profitability.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Operations, Marketing, and Guest Relations to align culinary operations with overall business objectives.

    Act as a liaison between the kitchen and other departments, ensuring effective communication and coordination.

    Qualifications

    Proven 3–5 years of experience as a Chef.
    Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of various cuisines
    Excellent leadership abilities, with the capacity to manage and collaborate with kitchen staff.
    Solid knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
    Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
    Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
    Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
