    Description

    Responsibilities
    Production and Maintenance Manager is a position based in Mombasa, Kenya reporting to the Operations Manager. This position will be responsible for the following.

    Lead the Operational Excellence agenda and initiatives for the country.
    Drive asset care and maintenance process and ensure plant performance and reliability.

    Initiate and manage minor CAPEX and revenue engineering projects at the production site to provide safe, reliable and cost-effective operations.

    Develop Leader Standard Work routines to ensure plant performance and continuous improvement.

    Develop and define clear scopes of work for outsourced contractors, ensuring all external work meets our standards and contributes to our operational goals.

    Ensure compliance to Yara HESQ and Operational policies and procedures (HOPS/TOPS/IFA), demonstrating leadership commitment to the health and safety of all employees.

    Ensure quality control processes are in place during discharge, storage, blending and bagging operations.
    Convert sales forecast to a realistic production plan linking raw materials and packaging materials availability, contractors, and equipment.

    Profile

    University degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing engineering or related fields.
    Minimum 5 years practical experience in a similar role within a large-scale production unit.
    Knowledge and experience in operations management and people management.
    Proficient in using advanced microsoft application.

    Additional Information

    Technical Competencies in warehouse/terminal operations.
    Interpersonal Competencies—relationship management, communication and other related competencies.
    Operation Competencies— analyzing, adaptability, planning and organization skills.
