    Partnerships Lead (Fintech/Payments)

    Role overview

    As the Partnerships Lead you will be at the helm of our client's operations in Kenya.

    This role requires a visionary leader with at least 15 years of experience in sales, along with a profound understanding of the payments industry. The ideal candidate will have a background in fintech or banking sectors and be adept at driving growth and maximizing market potential.

    Requirements

    • A minimum of 15 years of professional experience in sales, with significant leadership roles.
    • Proven experience in the payment industry, fintech, or banking is essential.
    • Strong understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing etc.
    • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development.
    • Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
    • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or relevant field; MBA preferred.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement strategic plans to expand our client's customer base and ensure its strong presence in the country.
    • Lead and motivate a high-performing team to advance employee engagement and develop a high performing managerial team.
    • Oversee all operations and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission.
    • Build trusted relationships with key partners, clients, and stakeholders and act as a point of contact for important shareholders.
    • Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth.
    • Monitor financial performance to ensure the company achieves its financial goals and manage budgets to maximize profitability.
    • Maintain a deep knowledge of the markets and industry of the company.
