Responsibilities.

  • Identify and research potential market within EAC 
  • Develop and maintain client relationships

Responsibilities:

  • Identification of key products for the company
  • Liaising with other Departments on cost control issues and procurement practices
  • Develop supplier data base and foster working relations.
  • Departmental coordination on issues of asset disposal and logistics arrangement.
  • Authorize all the procurement activities e.g. annual procurement planning, placing of orders and sourcing of suppliers both local and international.
  • Create internal working systems on receipts of purchases and ensuring quality set standards are adhered to
  • Carrying market surveys on product demand, pricing and availability in order to maintain constant supply of products and also remain competitive. 
  • Conducting regular stock taking and reconciliation of stock with other stocks and working on variances.
  • Ensure that all products are arranged in order & ensuring health and occupational standards are met 

 

 

Import Management

  • Maintain data base pertaining to all imports to ensure accurate reporting on weights, volumes, thickness and gauges are safe for future reference
  • Ensure all entry documents received related to entries made cleared on time.
  • Ensure planning and preparation to ensure import of raw materials is done on time.
  • Work with clearing agent to obtain correct HS codes for PVOC exemption application.
