    Description
    Lake Victoria South Water Services Board (LVSWSB) is a State Corporation under the Ministry of Water and Irrigation. The Board is among the 8 Water Service Boards (WSBs) established under the Water Act vide Gazette Notice No. 1714 of 12th March 2004 with the mandate of ensuring efficient and economic provision of Water and Sanitation Services in its area of jurisdiction
    Duties and responsibilities entail;

    Installing and maintaining computersystems;
    Analyzing, designing, coding, testing and implementing computer programs;
    Configuring LocalArea Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN);
    Providing user support;
    Configuring Local Area Network and Wide Area Network;
    Developing and updating application systems;
    Carrying outsystems analysis, design and programme specifications in liaison with users;
    Drawing up hardware specifications for Information Communication Technology equipment;
    User and Systems Support and Logging of incidents;
    Verifying, validating and certifying Information Communication Technology equipment;
    Ensuring effective working of systems for efficient service delivery;
    Configuring new Information Communication Technology equipment; and
    Implementing systems and network security.

    Person Specification

    For appointment to this grade an officer must have:

    A minimum of eight (8) years' experience in relevant work in the Public Service or in the Private Sector with at least three (3) years' experience in a supervisory role;

    Master's Degree in any ofthe following disciplines: -Information Technology, Computer Science, Business IT, Software Engineering, ICT Project Management, Computer Engineering or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.

    Bachelor's Degree in any of the following fields: Information Technology,
    Computer Science, Business IT, Software Engineering, ICT Project Management, Computer Engineering orits equivalentqualification from a recognized Institution.
    At least any two (2) certifications from relevant professional bodies in either CCNP, CDCP, CCNA Cloud, CCNA Industrial/IoT, CCNA, MCSE, MCSA, MCSD, N+, A+ OCA, CISSP, Linux+, Network+, Microsoft Certified IT
    Professional (MCITP), CISA, CISM, CGEIT or other equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
    CISA Membership or an equivalent ICT professional body.
    Management course of notless than four (4) weeksfrom a recognizedinstitution
    Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
    Proficiency in computer applications;
