    Description

    In addressing issues linked to education and training for a competent legal profession in Kenya, both the pre and post-colonial governments have undertaken various initiatives and set up several commissions of inquiry to formulate appropriate policy.

    Job Specification
    The duties and responsibilities at this grade will entail:

    Carrying out systems analysis, design and requirements definition;
    Planning timely implementation and maintenance of systems;
    Designing, implementing and maintaining Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area
    Network (WAN);
    Supervising backups and ensure security of information systems;
    System and database administration;
    Monitoring and analysing ICT equipment maintenance activities;
    Developing measures for staff ICT capacity building;
    Delivering feasibility and cost-benefit analysis aspects to enhance overall ICT systems improvement;
    Identifying areas of ICT process improvement;
    Coordinate ICT Helpdesk;
    Initiating procurement of ICT equipment and services;
    Liaising with end users to determine future ICT requirements;
    Preparing reports on the status of various ICT resources;
    Preparing work plans, procurement plans and budget;and
    Coaching and supervising of staff.

    Requirements
    Person Specifications


    Bachelor Degree in:

    • Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer
    Engineering, Software Engineering qualification from a recognized Institution;
    Master degree in an ICT or any other relevant field from a recognized institution;
    Minimum of twelve (12) years relevant work experience three (3) of which should be at the level of Principal ICT Officer or its equivalent;
    Leadership Course lasting not less than (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
    Professional qualification in ICT or approved equivalent; and
    Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
