Duties and Responsibilities;
Plan, prepare and teach the units assigned, as outlined in the course outline in line with the course curriculum.
Development of learning materials, timely preparation and submission of professional records and maintaining records to monitor student progress, achievement and attendance.
Plan, develop and deliver appropriate learning plans for individual students.Assess students work and monitor their achievement.
Take part in the Course review process and adapt delivery patterns to meet student needs.
Examining and marking of Trainees' Assessment Tests (C.A.Ts) and end of term assessments) and timely uploading of marks in the MIS of the units assigned.
Carry out Practical instructions for trainees and maintaining their portfolios of evidence.Supervising students during assessments.
Contributing to the development, planning and implementation of a high-quality curriculum.
Participation in departmental meetings.
Other duties as may be assigned to you by your supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience:
Qualification:
Bachelor of Science (Health Records & Information Management)
Relevant experience: 2 – 5 years
Certificate of Registration & valid practicing license from Health Records and Information Managers Board (HRIM)
Evidence of professional teaching methodology; Diploma in Education from KTTC (Kenya Technical Trainers College) – OR – CBET Trained
Proficiency in computer applications and MIS use
Time management skills and attention to detail;
Good communication skills;
Good interpersonal and decision-making skills;
High level of confidentiality & integrity;
Planning and organization skills.
