I am currently in my 12th year of working in a development and humanitarian context; I have extensive experience and skills from working with both international and UN agencies; and working in a post-conflict related context provides an additional challenging advantage in terms of cultural, political, and social situations. With the stated organization, I have held different positions, starting from the most junior to the senior management, and am currently working with UN Women program as a programme specialist for women, peace, and program. This is a new program that seeks to support women under different dimensions, especially in political participation, the protection of their rights from all sorts of violence perpetrated against them, the promotion of their rights through different platforms, and also to support them during crises and help them come out of those crises through tangible and sustainable mechanisms that are locally owned.

My academic achievements have bolstered my experience. I have a bachelor degree in public health, a master's degree in development studies from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA), Nairobi, Kenya, and a second master degree in international development from the University of Birmingham (UK), which I will complete on December 8, 2022.
