    Description
    – Assistant accountant for a Real Estate related group of companies, reporting to Directors
    – Verify, allocate and reconcile accounts payable and receivables
    – Post accounting entries and maintain ledgers in various currencies
    – Preparation of invoices and payments
    – Control petty cash to ensure proper utilisation of funds
    – Payroll and salary administration, including payment of taxes and statutory charges
    – Conduct bank reconciliations for at appropriate intervals, daily or weekly
    – Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts and other reports
    – Prepare annual accounts including group consolidation
    – Prepare tax computations
    – Liaise with auditors, tax advisers and other consultants as required
    – Prepare all tax payments
    – Produce accurate accounting reports and present their results
    – Identify errors and suggest process improvements
    – Maintain, review and recommend modifications to systems and procedures
    – Participate in preparation of forecasts
    – Participate in preparation of documentation for bankers
    – Filing tax returns and attending to tax audits or enquiries
    – Ensuring proper maintenance of efficient filing systems;
    – Safekeeping of invoices, receipts and other accountable documents in hard and soft copies
    – Execute foreign exchange currency transactions
    – Assist with procurement, planning and budgets
    – Posting and daily balancing of cash books
    – Maintain fixed asset register
    – Carrying out banking transactions as required
    – Prepare and issue invoices, receipts, credit notes and associated instruments
    – Promptly complete month end and year end processes for group reporting
    – Develop and document processes and policies to strengthen internal controls
    – Maintain and up to date knowledge and understanding of tax laws
    – Ensure compliance with applicable accounting principles and financial reporting standards
    – Correspondence, meetings and telephone conversations with clients and customers
    – Liaison with tenants in relation to property management and other matters
    – Collaborative interaction with other team members
    – Other duties as assigned


    • Requirements
    – Reliability and hard working attitude are essential
    – Integrity and professional competence
    – Relevant qualification in Accounting and Finance or related discipline
    – At least one year work experience
    – Proficient Microsoft Office and accounting software, particularly Tally, Sage Quickbooks
    – Proficient in Microsoft Excel
    – Experience with iTax platform
    – Acceptable references
