    ABOUT THE COMPANY

    Kenya Private Sector Alliance is the apex body for private sector in Kenya. KEPSA brings together local and foreign business associations, federations, chambers of commerce, professional bodies, corporates including multinationals, large and medium-sized corporates, SMEs and start-ups from all sectors of the economy, representing over 1 million businesses locally and over 45million businesses globally through the membership of ICC-Kenya Chapter. We enable these businesses to speak with one voice when engaging Government, development partners and other stakeholders on cross-cutting policy issues affecting private sector development and we implement programs that ensure the social-economic development of the country including women and youth empowerment.

    KEPSA serves as a federation of over 80 Associations and professional bodies. In the EAC region, KEPSA serves as the national focal point of the East African Business Council and engages closely with peer apex bodies in the EAC region to resolve any emerging business issues as well as to promote trade and investment.

    JOB SUMMARY

    DescriptionKEPSA is the private sector apex and umbrella body set up in 2003, to bring together business community in a single voice to engage and influence public policy for an enabling business environment. The Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) is a limited liability membership organization.With current membership of over 500,000 direct and indirect members organized through Business Membership Organizations and Corporate members, KEPSA is a key player in championing the interests of the Kenyan business community in trade, investment and industrial relations.KEPSA's Vision is to be a world class private sector apex body. The primary Mission is to ensure year- on- year improvement in the overall business environment for Kenya by working together with the Government and other stakeholdersMarketing and Membership Services Officer is a key role in supporting KEPSA champion its mandate.Position SummaryThe Marketing and Membership Services intern will support acquisition of new members, retention and development of existing KEPSA Members. KEPSA membership consists of sectoral and industry specific business membership associations as well as individual company members which spans from MSMEs, SMEs, Corporates and Multinationals.     RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Assist in development of membership recruitment and retention strategies.2. Manage the membership lifecycle from recruitment, renewal process and member benefit administration.a) Recruitment of new members, both Associations and Corporates. Actively engage in marketing membership to contribute to achievement of set recruitment targets.b) Renewal of existing members. Assist in preparation and dispatch of invoices to members whenever the subscriptions fall due. Also assist in monitoring the subscription payments to ensure an accurate record of the renewals at all times.c) Membership Services
    • Ensure timely dispatch of membership certificates.
    • Handle inquiries from members and ensure timely response within 24 hours to enhance customer satisfaction.3. Assist in the creation and development of membership and marketing material e.g. letters, new member welcome packs, newsletters, communications, member questionnaires and brochures.4. Maintain records and produce detailed reports on recruitment and retention activities, marketing campaigns and members behaviour.5. Ensure timely update and maintenance of up-to-date membership database and members directory as per the communication received from the members. Also maintain a data base for potential members.6. In conjunction with Communications Department ensure timely update of membership information on the website.7. Provide relevant information for the KEPSA weekly newsletter (e-shot)8. Assist in coordinating logistics around membership events and activities.9. Extend support to other colleagues when called upon.10. Responsible for general membership office administration
