ABOUT THE COMPANY
Tourism Fund is a body corporate established under the Tourism Act, 2011 which came into operation on 1st September, 2012 vide special issue Kenya Gazette Supplement No. 93 of 24th August, 2012. The Fund is the legal successor to Catering and Tourism Development Levy Trustees.
JOB SUMMARY
Academic qualifications1. Masters degree in any other relevant and related field;2. Bachelors degree from a recognized University in Human Resources Management or Social Science, or any other relevant and related qualifications;Professional Qualifications / Membership to professional bodiesa) Higher diploma/diploma in human resource management;b) Certificate in a Leadership Course from a recognized institution;c) Have full membership of a professional body in the Human Resource field;d) Holder of a valid Practicing Certificate;e) Certificate in Computer Proficiency;Previous relevant work experience required.At least ten (10) years of experience three (3) of which must be at senior management level
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Lead development, implementation and monitor Human Resource policies and strategy in line with the corporate strategy, systems and procedures across the organization;2. Oversee development of board papers touching on employee's issues requiring Board approval to inform decision making and the policy direction3. Guide development and review of terms and conditions of service in consultation with relevant stakeholders (staff, Management, Board, statutory requirements) to outline relevant rules and regulations;4. Manage and provide decision support through Human Resource Metrics on employee turnover, training, return on human capital, cost of labor and expenses per employee to inform management decision making;5. Manage Human resource management functions to ensure compliance with statutory obligations, labour laws and other legislations;6. Coordinate Human Resource planning, succession management and budgeting to ensure prudent utilization of resources;7. Manage staff Training and Development for employees to acquire more skills and competencies to achieve organization performance and productivity;8. Manage Staff Discipline to ensure staff abide by set rules and regulations as they perform their allocated tasks and responsibilities;9. Manage compensation and staff benefits through regular review of salaries, and benefits (e.g. car loans, bonuses, mortgage, gratuity, Management of Staff Pension,) to attract and retain employees; and10. Formulate strategies for Employee Relations (CBA, staff discipline, grievance handling) to create industrial harmony.11. Oversee compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements relating to human resource.12. Formulate, plan, design, develop and evaluate human resource-related initiatives that support organizational strategic goals.13. Coordinate recruitment, placement, promotion, training and development and exit of staff.14. Coordinate Performance Management.
