    Description
    Murang'a County is one of the five counties in the Central region of the Republic of Kenya.

    It is bordered to the North by Nyeri, to the South by Kiambu, to the West by Nyandarua and to the East by Kirinyaga, Embu and Machakos counties.

    Requirements for appointment

    Served in the grade of Deputy Chief Health Administrative Officer or in a comparable position for a minimum period of (3) years;
    A Bachelor's degree in any of the following

    Social Sciences:
    Government, Anthropology, Sociology, Business Administration, Public Administration, Commerce, Economics, Law or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution; and
    Demonstrated outstanding professional competence and administrative ability in the management of health services in a large health institution.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    A Senior Deputy Chief Health Administrative Officer will deputize the Chief Health Administrative Officer and will be deployed at the County Headquarters.

    Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:
    Formulation, implementation, Coordination and evaluation of health administrative policies, services and programmes:
    Co-ordinating major health administration functions and ensuring timely completion of tasks
    Supervision, deployment, training and development of Health Administrative Staff.
