    Description
    Surge Energy Limited (Surge) is a company that specializes in manufacturing and revalidating of steel LPG cylinders. It was incorporated in 2017 and is located in Kisaju, Kenya.

    The strategic location provides convenient access to Kenya's capital city, Nairobi, the Mombasa Port through the Internal Container Depot (ICD), and the entire East Africa region.


    Overview:
    We are seeking a skilled and organized Secretary to join our team. The Secretary will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess excellent communication skills, and have the ability to multitask effectively.

    Responsibilities:
    Answer phone calls and direct calls to appropriate parties or take messages.
    Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate person or office.
    Maintain office filing and storage systems.
    Retrieve information when requested.
    Type documents, reports, and correspondence.
    Prepare and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
    Schedule appointments and update event calendars.
    Arrange meetings and ensure all necessary materials are prepared.
    Record, compile, transcribe, and distribute minutes of meetings.

    Maintain office supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, and verifying receipt of supplies.

    Coordinate maintenance of office equipment.
    Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.


    Requirements:
    Proven work experience as a Secretary or Administrative Assistant.
    HR Educational Experience is an added advantage.
    Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, in particular).
    Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
    Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Strong organizational and planning skills.
    Diploma; additional qualifications in Office Administration are a plus.
    Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
