Nelson Nyongesa

Nelson Walusala Nyongesa is a professional with over eighteen years’ experience in the public sector in various capacities, including financial sector regulation, government audit, and Internal and risk management. He is currently the Deputy Director Risk and Surveillance at Kenya Deposit Insurance Corporation. Previously, he was the Manager Internal and Risk Management at Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) and Auditor at the Office of the Auditor General.

Nelson holds a Masters of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Nairobi. He is a member of several professional institutions including Institute of Certified Secretaries (ICS), Institute of Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (ICPAK), Information System Audit and Control Association (ISACA), Enterprise Risk Management Academy (ERMA), and Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI).  Nelson is also an accredited Governance auditor and certified governance trainer.
