As a reliable and detail oriented professional seeking to further grow in my career, I am looking to explore more roles in Accounting.
I possess experience in handling diverse responsibilities such as keeping record and track of daily transactions, advising management on re-order quantity, handling the company’s tax matters, implementing accounting systems and procedures, reconciling accounts receivables and working closely with the external auditor.
The skills I have acquired during my work experience have been key to the development of my career and include; accounting, financial skills, payroll and statutory deductions, auditing and compliances.
I am currently looking to secure a position where I can engage my skills and expertise with a view to ensure proper running of office functions in order to promote productivity among employees.
Experience
- Accounting:- Skilled in handling general accounting principles such as reconciliations, petty cash management, management accounts, general ledgers and balancing of accounts among other accounting functions.
- Financial skills:- I have gained substantial knowledge and experience on; summarizing financial status by collecting information and preparing statement of financial position, monitoring actual expenditure against the budget and compiling cash flow forecasting in order to advice stakeholders.
- Payroll and statutory deductions:- Well versed in various taxes (VAT, income tax and withholding) with knowledge on the preparation of statutory payments i.e. PAYE, NSSF, NHIF, and ensuring the timely preparation of payroll for all the staff.
- Auditing:- Experienced in internal auditors as well as coordinating the external audit process to ensure final reports. I support audit works through retrieval of documents requested for audit and answering all audit queries.
- Analytical skills:- Ability to analyze, assess and calculate the risks involved and finding solutions by using logical reasoning.
- Compliance:- Ability and expert in ensuring quality control to ensure completeness of supporting documentation as per applicable organizational policies, regulations and donor requirements.
- Detail oriented:- I value accuracy and ensure every duty I undertake pays close attention to details and captures all the valuable data in terms of cost monitoring and compilation of detailed financial reports.
- Integrity and Discipline:- High levels of integrity demonstrated in my ability to follow instructions from my superiors without question and handling financial information with confidentiality.
- ICT Competence: Proficient in navigating MS. Office suites, accounting softwares with an ability to adapt well to new technology.
