Summary
A caretaker is responsible for maintaining and overseeing the upkeep of a property or facility, ensuring that it is safe, clean, and functional.
This role may involve various tasks related to property maintenance, security, and sometimes even providing assistance to residents or occupants.

Property Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, painting, and repairing minor damages.
Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify any issues or maintenance needs.
Coordinate with contractors or service providers for larger repairs or renovations.
Maintain outdoor areas including gardens, lawns, and pathways.
Security:
Monitor security systems such as alarms and surveillance cameras.
Ensure all doors, windows, and gates are properly secured.
Respond to any security concerns or emergencies promptly.
Cleaning and Housekeeping:
Clean common areas, restrooms, and other facilities regularly.
Ensure that trash is properly disposed of and recycling procedures are followed.
Keep inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and replenish as needed.
Tenant or Occupant Support:
Assist residents or occupants with inquiries or issues related to the property.
Handle complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Provide information about community resources or services when requested.
Groundskeeping:
Maintain landscaping features such as grass, trees, shrubs, and flower beds.
Remove snow and ice from walkways and parking areas during winter months.
Perform seasonal tasks such as leaf removal and irrigation system maintenance.
Administrative Tasks:
Keep records of maintenance activities, repairs, and expenses.
Report any significant issues or incidents to management.
Assist with scheduling and coordinating maintenance tasks or service appointments.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in property maintenance, caretaking, or related field preferred.
Knowledge of basic maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor as required.
