    Mentorship Programme is to be a platform that connects, networks, and improves career development outcomes across ESAR by enabling mentorship relationships for improved regional collaboration and innovation and to champion and align with the One HR's People Strategy , with a focus (#4) on empowering high-performing, agile, and innovative teams.

    The consultant will be requested to review the available materials, develop a 10-month mentorship, including the needed content such as webinars and training materials for mentors and mentees.

    The proposed mentorship programme key activities will include:

  • Organize consultations with key regional stakeholders to agree on the mentorship programme
  • Designing the mentorship program, tools (including M&E tools) and implementation plan
  • Launching the programme widely in the Region to identify mentors and mentees
  • Develop a training module introducing the mentors to their role.
  • Design introductory and closing out webinars with mentors and mentees on the programme.
  • Matching of mentors and mentees within the region
  • Monthly check-in sessions with all the mentors and mentees to facilitate interactive mentorship sessions, feedback, and adjustments where necessary
  • Support enhancement of the mentorship program for the year 2024 including facilitation of Needs Assessment for the coaching, selection of coaches for the mentors and co-facilitate coaching sessions.
  • Design mid-program review of the on-going programme.
  • Develop end of program evaluation report and recommendations.
  • Human Resources Development Committee will coordinate, and beneficiaries would be staff in the region.
  • Desired competencies, technical background, and experience:

    Academic qualification:

  • University degree in related field such as sociology, human resources or education. (25%)
  • Work experience:

  • At least 5 years of prior experience in instructional design including work samples that demonstrate both online and virtual development experience.
  • At least 5 years of verifiable prior experience in mentorship program design and delivery, preferably with the UN.
  • Language:

  • Fluency in English both excellent written and verbal skills are required. Knowledge of another UN working language is an asset.
