William Nebet

Recently I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Kenyatta
University on July 22, 2022. I intend to advance my Knowledge and gain more experience in the field
which will help improve Engineering technology to the best.

I was an attache at Thames Electrical LTD for three months. I learned so much at the company which
related to my field of study. I was able to perform machines and system maintenance such as power
circuitry troubleshooting. Power panels failed contactors not initiating trips for different machines
setups. We were able to find the root cause and came up with proper wiring. Digital speed controls
using variable frequency drives was also a major activity I encountered. We designed and
implemented VFDS in power panels to control different motors speed. These involved both local and
remote control. This is part of the PLC which I learned from school. Moreover, we did power panels
drawing and building. Bus bars bending and quality check using power factor correction equipment
like capacitors. Electrical welding of panel and sheet cutting was part of our work. Lights control and
installations plus motor rewinding was also involved. Voltage and current controls using PT AND CT
was the Industry work. Therefore, the attachment helped me appreciate a lot about Electrical
technology and I do wish to work in something similar to this or more advanced to assist me learn and
sharpen my skills.
