I am a dependable and goal-oriented IT professional with 3+ years of experience and expertise, and the current IT and Technical Head of Department at Mbwaa Media ServicesLimited.

I am an energetic, competent, innovative, result-oriented, and ambitious person who has developed an effective and responsive professional approach to any tasks undertaken. I have acquired several skills including but not limited to networking, transmission and network security, web design and development, programming, systems administration and configuration, data recovery, user support and technical repair and troubleshooting.

As the current IT & Technical Head of the Department, I am tasked with managing the technical-related processes and procedures. Overseeing the technical performance of the transmission and network equipment including servers, WLAN, LAN, WAN, databases, Transmitters and Microwave Receivers, Encoders and Decoders and electrical equipment. I work directly with all the staff and departments to implement the company’s policies and best practices to support the staff and company while reporting to the operations manager. I have managed to accumulate over 3 years of technical experience in the ICT field.

My Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

 a) Strategic planning, formulation and implementation of the company’s ICT, telecommunications and technical strategy and systems.  

b) Researching, advising and issuing recommendations to the management on technical issues.

 c) Analyzing and designing ICT and telecommunication systems to meet the demands of the firm.

 d) Maintaining, updating and repairing the company’s hardware and software to ensure efficiency. 

e) Providing technical support to all the departments and offering solutions to reported system failures and errors. 

f) Preparing monthly network security, website management, transmission and social media reports. 

g) Managing and organizing staff technical training on network security and ICT requirements. h) Managing internal communication regarding technical events and solutions. i) Maintaining inventory of items issued. 

j) Performing regular data and application backups.

 k) Managing and maintaining both Radio and TV transmission. 

l) Designing and developing the company’s website and maintaining it.

thoroughly training the staff on network security.
