The Craziest Generation Will End All

Generation Z was the beginning of the end of mankind. Then came Gen Alpha and the world fell to ruin. Not too long ago socializing would happen in real life or as Gen Z would have, IRL, to them everything is virtual. They live life online, and games are MMORPG and now they are about to dive into the multiverse. Gen Zers also known as the iGeneration, were born into a world with phones, and free media and they witnessed the birth of smartphones, they the the first truly digital native generation. Unlike the millennials who though witnessed the advent of the internet were still bound to cable TV, fixed line phones, and real-life social gatherings.

For most Gen Zers life before smartphones is the stone age and they do not remember it. Their interactions even online are completely different from the previous generation, they are fully digital and most are addicted to their phones and unlike the millennials whose posts, both open and personal were made public on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, etc, Gen Zers prefer the anonymity of Snapchat and whisper which delete posts after a short period. Interactions are through cyberspace space, to most other generation, most Gen Zers are living life through their phones, instead of making memories, they are snapping photos, instead of making friends, they creating pages to become influencers. For them even work should be online.

After surviving the Great Recession of 2007-2009 in the US, the Gen Zers then faced the Covid-19 pandemic. They also witnessed the election of the first black president and the legalization of same-sex marriages. After witnessing the birth of the iPhone, Gen Zers had to deal with the fallout of the September 11 attacks that led to the formation of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the beginning of the War on Terror, this led them to be called the iGeneration and Homelanders. Gen Zers are more open-minded about most things having grown up in one of the most diverse times in modern history and most have grown up in single-parent families. 

A little under 20% of all Gen Zers identify with the LGBTQ+ community and are proactive in the recognition of other sex or gender options apart from the usual men and woman choices. Choosing to reside in urban centers, Gen Zers are setting a trend where rural lifestyles are shunned and opt to shine in the cities and metropolitan areas. Another big difference in this generation is their attitude towards marriage; the older of the Generation Z are either delaying or foregoing it altogether with most preferring to go to college. 

Although studies show that Gen Zers are taking less alcohol, there has been a debate on their drug use and other addictions. Over the course of a few years, alcohol consumption has fallen slightly but overall addiction has risen; that is to say, though fewer are drinking the rate of addiction is higher. New drugs such as Ketamine have taken over and recently instances of celebrity overdoses are rising, the latest craze is about killer designer drugs made using synthetic chemicals. TikTok, the latest app for the youngsters of generation Zers, there have been instances where challenges have led to death.
