PRAYERS OF HUNGER AND ECONOMIC DEPRIVATION

Kenyans went to the polls on august 2022 and as a result elected a promising president under the narrative of the hustler nation. Hustler nation comprises of every Kenyan living below the normal living standards and struggling everyday to earn a living. Majority of these individuals comprise of the youths. Unemployment rate in Kenya is very high and youths stand out as the most affected among the population.

The current president had been in the previous government as the deputy president of Kenya. Uhuru Kenyatta the then president of Kenya and his deputy left the country in huge debts, high rates of unemployment and the on-going drought in most parts of the country. Differences between the top individuals in government undermined operations of the same government and service delivery to Kenyans.

Six months down the line the government seems to have lost hope in providing basic commodities like food. The authentic solution according to the president entails calling unto the heavens for food and financial security. Problems like this could have been solved by the president even before he came into office since he was in the previous government. Surely, the country need a practical solution other than calling unto the heavens. Leaders should stop playing public relations to Kenyans.
