Designing cost effective package components and developing packaging systems for new and existing products ensuring the packaging is compatible with manufacturing processes.
To coordinate R & D Laboratory and line trials for all new product development initiatives.Artworks development, analysis, and signoff
Responsible for online trials and sign off with marketing.
To do analysis of all new products under development and ensure compliance with product brief.
Develop specifications and sign off with suppliers for all packaging materials.
To conduct stability tests and evaluations for all the products under development and providing monthly report.
To ensure that the production team have standard approved samples for new products.
Development of new primary, secondary and tertiary packaging materials
Lead in packaging margin improvement initiatives.
To do competitors benchmarking for home and personal care products
To enhance good lab & manufacturing practices.
Implementation of safe work environment.
Championing 5S activities in the Lab.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Engineering or related Science field
Technical/Professional Experience:
Minimum 4- 5 years in FMCG Company handling Packaging development
Significant Relationships:
Internal Stakeholders
Raw , packaging material, and Finished goods stores, TMH Factory, Soap factory, Logistic & Purchasing, Sales and Marketing Departments
External Stakeholders
Local Suppliers, Kenya Bureau of Standards, Pharmacy & Poisons Board, Government Chemists & Local Universities
