    Description
    Lake Victoria South Water Services Board (LVSWSB) is a State Corporation under the Ministry of Water and Irrigation. The Board is among the 8 Water Service Boards (WSBs) established under the Water Act vide Gazette Notice No. 1714 of 12th March 2004 with the mandate of ensuring efficient and economic provision of Water and Sanitation Services in its area of jurisdiction
    Job Specification

    The duties and responsibilities at this level will entail assisting in: - Carrying out all water quality and pollution control activities;
    Carrying out water quality and pollution control analysis and prepare reports;
    Liaising with other institutions on water quality and pollution control; maintenance of scientific instruments;
    Supervision, evaluation and co-ordination of laboratory work;
    Testing, standardization and development of laboratory working techniques and Advising clients on possible remedial and correct uses of materials under test;
    Supervising, guiding, training and development of junior staff working under him/her.
    Monitor compliance of discharges to set national regulations and standards.

    Person Specification
    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or any other equivalent from a recognized institution;
    Membership of a relevant professional Body;
    Proficiency in relevant computer applications;
