    Victory Farms is a tilapia fish farm established in 2015. VF is located on the Kenyan side of Lake Victoria and has distribution capacity throughout Kenya. The Company is rapidly expanding its farm operation, fish processing, and sales & marketing capabilities. By the end of 2017, VF is on track to be the largest aquaculture farm in East Africa
    Summary

    We are seeking a highly qualified Quality Control Officer.

    In this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance within our fish farm operations.

    Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will oversee


    Role:
    Quality Control and Assurance

    Develop and implement quality control processes for all stages of the production chain – feed to fish.
    Conduct regular inspections and audits on processes and products to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
    Collaborate with operations and sales teams to establish and maintain quality benchmarks.

    Process Improvement and Data Analysis

    Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement.
    Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall efficiency and product quality.
    Analyze data and trends to proactively address potential quality issues.
    Collect and analyze data on quality metrics and key performance indicators.

    Compliance Management and Training

    Stay abreast of industry regulations and standards to ensure compliance.
    Conduct internal audits to assess adherence to regulatory requirements.
    Provide training to staff on quality assurance protocols and procedures.
    Foster a culture of quality consciousness and compliance awareness.
    Ensure that team members are adequately trained to meet quality objectives.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration and Reporting

    Collaborate with production, operations, and other relevant departments to address quality concerns.
    Act as a liaison between different teams to facilitate effective communication on quality-related matters.
    Work closely with suppliers to maintain quality standards in the supply chain.
    Prepare regular reports on quality assurance performance for management review.
    Identify trends and areas for improvement based on data analysis.


    Skills and qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Aquaculture, Biology or related discipline.
    Proven experience in quality assurance within the aquaculture or food production industry.
    Strong knowledge of industry regulations and quality standards.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data.
    Leadership experience and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
