    Monthly Salary: Ksh 20,000 + Commission

    Position Overview:

    As a Tour Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering unparalleled travel experiences to clients. Reporting to the Team Leader – Sales, you will be responsible for providing expert advice, crafting tailored itineraries, and ensuring seamless travel arrangements for our client's valued customers.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Client Consultation: Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their preferences, interests, and budgetary constraints, in order to offer customized safari travel recommendations.

    Itinerary Planning: Design comprehensive travel plans and itineraries that encompass desired destinations, activities, accommodations, and transportation options, while ensuring alignment with client specifications.

    Booking and Reservations: Facilitate end-to-end travel bookings, including safari tours, lodging reservations, transportation arrangements, and activity bookings, while maintaining high standards of service quality.

    Client Communication: Maintain proactive and transparent communication with clients throughout the travel process, providing updates, addressing inquiries, and offering assistance to enhance their overall experience. Vendor Coordination: Collaborate closely with hotels, lodges, tour guides, and other service providers to confirm bookings, negotiate favorable terms, and coordinate logistics to meet client expectations.

    Travel Documentation: Guide clients through the process of obtaining necessary travel documents such as visas, vaccinations, and travel insurance, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

    Issue Resolution: Promptly identify and address any issues or concerns raised by clients during their safari experience, offering timely solutions to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.

    Product Knowledge: Stay abreast of industry trends, destination updates, and company offerings, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of safari destinations, wildlife conservation efforts, and local cultures.

    Sales and Marketing Support: Contribute to sales and marketing initiatives aimed at attracting new clients and promoting our client's services, including social media engagement, participation in travel shows, and other promotional activities.

    Feedback Collection: Solicit feedback from clients post-travel to gather insights, evaluate service quality, and identify areas for improvement, fostering continuous enhancement of our client offerings.

    Product Development: Collaborate with the product development team to innovate and expand our client's portfolio of destinations, products, and services, aligning with market trends and customer preferences to drive business growth.

    Key Skills and Qualifications:

    • Exceptional customer service skills with a passion for creating memorable experiences.
    • Clear and persuasive verbal and written communication abilities.
    • Strong organizational and time-management capabilities, with keen attention to detail.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of safari destinations, wildlife conservation, and local cultures.
    • Proficiency in travel and office software, including computer reservations systems and GDS systems.
    • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to handle crises effectively.
    • Proven sales acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
    • Bachelor's degree in tourism, hospitality, business, or related field preferred.
    • Prior experience in travel consulting or safari planning roles is advantageous.
    • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages beneficial.
    • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed to accommodate client schedules.

    Working Conditions: This role may entail flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate client time zones and travel schedules.
