Position: Chief Officer - ICT, Training, and Youth Development

Key Achievements:

• Best Department in Budget preparation and implementation in both Absorption and guidelines
• Implemented 22 fully equipped ICT centers in Kitui County 
• Implemented Kitui County revenue collection system-awarded Silver mark  at CIO 100 awards year 2021
• Trained over 4000 youths in live earning skills(under youth skills development) which led to the birth of Kitui County Textile centre(KICOTEC)
• Turned around the Training and skills development department which saw growth in the number of trainees from 4,200 in the year 2018 to the current 7,200(Vocational training center trainees) with quality training which saw Kitui County become a major stakeholder in Technical and Vocational training in Kenya.
• Initiated and came up with Kitui County Youth draft policy which is now at cabinet level Pending Approval
• Best Manager-Vocational training center ( VTC)     Grant year 2019/2020, 2020/2021

Responsibilities:

• Head of administration in the Ministry.
• Accounting officer to the Ministry(AIE Holder-Budgets,Payments,Procurement,and revenue administration)
• Providing strategic policy direction.
• Developing and implementing an effective performance management system.
• Ensuring effective and efficient use of financial and human resources.
• Maintaining effective collaboration with other organs of Government, the private sector, and other stakeholders.
• Promoting values and principles spelled out in Articles 10 and 232 of the constitution of Kenya 2010.
• Ensure the achievement of County goals and objectives and inter-Governmental programs and projects.

Position: Branch Manager

Key Achievements:

• Turned around Business at Malindi Branch from a customer asset base of 53 Million to 283 million Within a year
• Turned around Business at National  Bank Malindi  Branch from score 1 to  Score 4 on a 1-5 scorecard.

Responsibilities:

• Business planning, analysis, and reporting(Institutional,Corporate, MSMEs, and retail Banking)
• Budget preparation and management, financial analysis,controls and reporting
• Managed all risks, evaluating and maintaining internal control standards.
• Custodial Business services.
• Sales planning and analysis of all Bank products.
• Treasury Management
• Market trend analysis and evaluation of Business growth strategies.
• Oversaw customer service delivery, and turnaround time and maintained and improvement of Institutional, Corporate, and retail banking service standards.
• Ensured compliance with regulatory and policy requirements regarding banking operations.
• Branch employee performance evaluation and building a strong team.
• Ensured effective and efficient use of financial assets and human resources.
• Managed the Branch honestly and with high ethical standards.
• Ensured overall performance of the Branch was achieved(set targets).

• Instrumental in  laying out  Changamwe Branch business   development strategies(Winner of a trophy as the best Improved Branch)

• 2013: Turned around Moi Airport Mombasa Agency from a cash collection center to a fully operational unit by introducing business growth strategies.
• 2012: Branch champion for core Banking system migration from NBK's old system to the new system, user training, and support.
• 2011 - 2012: Instrumental in setting up operations during the opening of NBK Malindi, Ukunda, and Mtwapa Branches.
• 2007: Team leader at Safaricom IPO processing-National Bank, Nkrumah Branch.
