    Qualifications


    • Familiarity of non-profit organizations with a focus on service to low-income and at-risk individuals and families

    • Exercises good interpersonal skills

    • Communicate effectively and respectfully with people from different backgrounds and lifestyles treating all with dignity and respect

    • Minimum one year experience working in the non-profit sector

    • Use of MS Office software including e-mail, Word and Excel

    • Assist organization in annual fundraising events

    • Lifting required; handling of moderate weight items weighing (10) to (20) pounds

    • Excellent written and verbal skills

    • Proven compassion, cultural competency, understanding and awareness to current needs of families and individuals we serve; skills needed to work effectively with individuals of diverse ethnic, language and cultural backgrounds

    • Understanding of local community resources

    • Ability to make frequent changes of routine and pace of activity without loss of efficiency or composure

    • Ability to work some nights/weekends

    • Develop marketing and fundraising materials and social media messaging.

    Reports to Executive Director

    Job Type: Part Time (25 hrs/week)

    Pay: From 15,000 KSH per month

    Schedule:

    • 4-5 hour shift

    • Day shift

    • Monday to Friday

    • College or equivalent
