Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Portfolio:
- Creating new staff details in the payroll system.
- Updating parallel transfers, promotions, confirmation, allowances allocated and resignations in the system.
- Monthly uploads such as taxable benefits, insurance checkoffs, loan deductions and other adjustments requested by the staff or the organization.
- Processing of payroll on a monthly basis, forwarding the reports to the MD for his approval, generating of the payment template.
- Posting of payroll monthly journals and forwarding them to the accounts department.
- Writing statutory cheques such as PAYE, NHIF, NSSF, COTU and BIFU.
- Payment of insurance policy check-offs deduction through online payment (EFT).
- Fringe benefit tax calculation per quarter and overtime hours pay calculations.
Staff Processing, computations and schemes
- Staff loan processing; loans such as car loans, gratuity loans and mortgages.
- Processing car claims, annual medical premiums and insurance and ESOP scheme which entails issuing and allocating new shares to staff, declaring annual dividends, issuing ESOP certificate to staff, Preparing ESOP Financials, and computation of refund in the case of exits.
- Computing staff final dues.
- Gratuity scheduled computation
Other Responsibilities:
- Staff welfare in relation to hospital cases, weddings, death, merry go round and general welfare
- Data entry in T24.
