Ian Munala

Ian has worked as an intern at Light Academy Secondary School in Karen as an assistant project manager. During his time there he learnt skills such as: photography and cinematography, photoshop, after effects, mobilising resources and coordinating personnel.

He then joined the University of Nairobi where he studied the Bachelor of Real Estate, graduating with a Second Class honours.  During his third year, he joined Pam Golding Properties as a personal assistant where he learnt maintenance practices, customer relations and report writing.

After university, Ian rejoined Pam Golding Properties working as an assistant property manager where he learnt skills such as: operation management, finance management, tenant/landlord relations, dispute resolutions and service procurement. During this period, Ian gained experience in managing 2 commercial properties: Garden City Business Park and Fortis Towers, and managing 10 residential properties: Trident Grand Riverside, Pearl of Riverside, Embassy Court, Guru apartments, Anmol residences, Royal Apartments Mvuli road, Mae Ridge villas, Muthaiga Moundsmere 30, Golden Jubilee and Jumeirah Heights.

He then joined Azizi Realtors working as a property manager where he learnt further skills such as: sales, rental collection, letting and marketing. He also managed 3 properties: Runda Gardens, Precious Gardens and Xenia Apartments. He also manage 15 individual units, spread out through Nairobi and its environments.

As a property manager, Ian was responsible of keeping track of all site updates from the various properties that were being managed. He learnt multiple skills here including: Coordination of staff, procument of services, negotiation of prices, day to day operation of the properties, site visits, budgeting and tenant - landlord relations.
