Grace Micere

I hold a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Egerton University. In addition, I am a licensed professional member of Kenya Institute of Nutritionists and Dietitians (KNDI).  Professionally, I have over four years of experience working as nutrition consultant with health stores, hospitals, NGO and private consulting firms. For example, my first year experience at Thika Level Five Hospital consisted of dealing with patients both in-inpatient and outpatient departments where my key roles were recommending diet plans, nutritional assessment and diagnosis and community management of malnutrition in children. Recently I have worked at  Healthy U 2000 LTD  for three and a half years as a full time nutrition consultant and as part of social media editor for the company. I have dealt with a wide range of nutrition related health concerns in children all the way to the elderly. During my experience in the company I have been able to use different nutrition diagnostic tools that guided my nutrition plans to the clients. I have also gained leadership and management skills during times when I would relieve my branch manager and also during training of new recruits including nutritionists and shop attendants. I also have worked in an NGO as a volunteer where I got to work with the community and advocated for disability inclusion and awareness as well as promoting good nutrition practices to caregivers of people living with disability.
