About Natalie Ngethe:

As someone who has worked in hospital and community settings with efficient skills in therapeutic nutrition, I know my versatile skills and qualifications will make me an asset to the team.

I have had a variety of experiences with many different roles in nutrition care process and nutrition counselling from my time at Mater Misericordiae Hospital as well as nutrition health education and outpatient and inpatient supplementary and therapeutic feeding at Mbagathi Sub-County Hospital and other roles. I am looking to make the next step in my career by leveraging my therapeutic, supplementary and research skills to increase nutrition engagements within your organization.

As a prospective Nutritionist, I immediately can bring the following qualities to the team:

Previous knowledge of the nutrition care process including assessment, diagnosis and intervention: In my previous experience as a nutritionist at Mbagathi Sub- County hospital, I conducted nutrition assessment at the paediatric ward every morning for the span of 4 months and this was efficient in monitoring the progress of the children therefore providing the other health professionals with basis of medical adjustment and progress monitoring. This also was key in the therapeutic and supplementary feeding calculations according to progress of the patients. This was 90% effective in the treatment and monitoring of patient’s progress.

Collaboration, Priority, and Adaptability Skills: Throughout my experiences, I’ve collaborated with senior health professionals such as in charge nutritionists, nurses and doctors to ensure patients are well taken care of nutrition wise based on their specific condition and also for weekly reporting in the report workbook to cut off workload by the end of each month. This made getting the proper number of supplemental and therapeutic feeds for the entire month easier by 85% therefore patients rarely missed to get their feeds on time and they also got the correct quantities therefore speeding up their recovery and ensuring that even children supplements such as Vitamin A are given on time. I’ve worked on multiple projects at once and exceeded expectations in each of my roles.
