Eunice Ochiel

Multi-skilled professional with experience in strategy, planning and innovation, supply chain management, and office administration in result-driven environments. Strong organizational, communication, time, and people management skills in demanding environments. Proven ability to successfully multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while meeting all deadlines. Has strong technical skills in planning, operations, and project management and is a troubleshooter; able to effectively and efficiently resolve issues to meet challenging objectives.

For the past four years, I have been working as an Assistant Project Officer for the Central Organization of Trade Unions, Kenya (COTU-K), where my responsibilities include developing concept papers and project proposals, executing activities, managing project funds, and nurturing networks with social and development partners, policy makers, and government institutions on topics related to workers. I am also a member of the Technical Working Group and Tripartite Steering Committee for the 3rd Generation Decent Work Country Programme.

From September 2018 to May 2019, I was seconded to work as a Personal Assistant to the Deputy Regional Secretary for the International Transport Workers' Federation (ITF) Africa Regional Office - Nairobi, where I successfully planned workshops, training, and campaigns for affiliate members, managed logistics, and prepared speeches and talking points for the Deputy Regional Secretary.

Prior to that, I worked as an Administrative Assistant for COTU-K, where I managed the Secretary General’s diary and email account, prepared correspondence on behalf of the Secretary General, and scheduled meetings.

Throughout my career, I have developed a wide range of skills, including project management, report writing, communication and interpersonal skills, stakeholder management, problem-solving skills, team leadership, teamwork, and public speaking.

I have a Bachelor of Business Administration with IT (Procurement and Supply Chain major) from Maseno University, a Masters of Science in Strategic Management from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology, and a certificate in ICT from the University of Nairobi. Additionally, I have completed several training courses on topics such as labor migration, communicating evidence for decent work, and global outlook trade union school.
