In this role, my duties included:

 

  • Develop and design the monthly/annual budget and operational plans, and follow up to ensure timely completion of all activities.
  • Plan internal audits to allow preparation in advance of review dates agreed with corporate headquarters, and design, structure and lead the selection/training of personnel, review of control catalogues, coordinate the logistics, and provide coaching to the team.
  • Daily communication with the Sales Agronomist and Field Assistants on farmer/distributors complaints to ensure resolution of all complaints within 72 hrs. 
  • Liaise with the Sales Agronomist to implement marketing strategies in the field, and facilitate provision of resources and support to ensure achievement of the monthly and yearly sales targets. 
  • Process and administer effective contract review for all incoming orders, and verify any pricing discrepancies with accounts representatives as needed.
  • Accurately update and maintain backlog for customer accounts on a daily and weekly basis for monthly goals to be set.
  • Manage key customer relations, incoming orders, quote requests, and complaints/conflicts for clients including key customers such as One Acre Fund, World Food Programme, ICIPE and FAO, among others.
  • Effectively communicate with production and key personnel to expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery of parts.
