HOW CREATIVE SPECIALISING IS KEEPING YOU BROKE - Creative Design.

If you have been looking for a job, or hiring for that matter, you are familiar with creative specialising.
In the creative space, specialising into specific niches has become a trend, overtaking the traditional generalists. Now more than ever, we have more hiring managers looking to hire creatives who are experts in one particular craft or field.
From an enterprenuer perspective, it would only make so much sense to hire somebody who is vastly experienced in a particular task, as it guarantees better results.
Automation: The creation and application of technologies to produce and deliver goods and services with minimal human intervention.
However, this system has been creating automation in the creative industry and Job arena. "I create this and this like this" or "I perfom this task to achieve this results" has been the decrement of our creative value. Your value as a creator is based on how much constructive help you can offer a business or brand in the production of a product or service. The more you can offer to construct a new concept or idea that solves a certain problem in the process of production, the more you are considered a valuable asset. This is frankly why more generalists keep hiring specialists, while the generalist creatives get richer.
Besides this tragic unfolding of events, more and more apps and softwares keep getting invented, for conviniency. We now have grammarly, a site that proofreads your written articles for you. At the same time, we have proofreaders in the industry, looking to get hired for the same work. Do you see where I am going with this? We have Visual artists working on commissioned work, and at the same time we have Dall-E, a site that can process and produce any piece of art you ask it to, in seconds!!
When you finally decide to specialise in a specific craft, what happens when technology creates your perfect replacement? I mean who would ever imagine CGI in the 18th century? Its only a matter or Time! And do you remember that year when photographers could'nt go outside to create content?
Now, Im not saying that we split all our attention into everything and be the brand hero! That level of attention splitting would only split your career further.
So here's what to do: Research on a production pipeline you are interested in, and just get curious about its stages of production, as a creative.
