JOB SUMMARY
Required Qualifications for the Position Higher National Diploma in Nephrology (KRNN) Diploma in KRCHN/KRN/M BSc Nursing Computer Proficiency Registered with NCK with a valid practicing license Minimum experience of 2 years in Nursing
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assessing patient's condition and planning for their care Administering dialysis to the patients taking utmost care ensuring procedure is carried out safely and effectively Ensuring patient's nursing needs such as physical, psychological and mental are attended to Assisting physicians in carrying out medical procedures Monitoring, recording and reporting changes in patient's symptoms; maintaining accurate reports on patients Ensuring all renal machines, monitors and other equipment in the unit are working properly Receiving and discharging patients to and from the unit Administering intravenous fluids and medications Requesting for diagnostic tests Responding to emergencies and life-saving situations Maintaining safe and clean working environment by adhering to set standards and procedures Providing support and education to the patient's families on various topics pertaining to health of the patient Participating in quality improvement initiatives within the department and provide reports as required Any other duty assigned from time to time
