Job Summary:
As a Laundry Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the laundry department, ensuring the efficient and timely processing of laundry items.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of laundry staff, including assigning tasks, scheduling shifts, and monitoring performance.
Ensure all laundry items are processed efficiently and according to established quality standards.
Train new employees on proper laundry procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
Inspect laundry items for stains, damage, or other issues, and determine appropriate treatment methods.
Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and place orders as needed to maintain adequate stock levels.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry facility, including equipment, work areas, and storage areas.
Implement and enforce safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries, including the proper handling of chemicals and equipment.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs or maintenance as necessary.
Ensure compliance with health and sanitation regulations, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
Communicate effectively with other departments to coordinate laundry services and meet customer needs.
Requirements:
Proven experience working in a laundry or housekeeping environment, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
Strong knowledge of laundry procedures, equipment, and chemicals.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to laundry operations.
