    ABOUT THE COMPANY

    An NHIF accredited provider for maternity and gynecological procedures, we provide high quality, affordable, client-centric, respectful maternal & child health care, pediatric, gynecology, and family care assistance at our family care medical centre in Nairobi, Kenya. We started off focusing on maternal health care in 2011 as a mobile clinic, and gradually grew into a full-fledged hospital providing maternal and child health care, outpatient care and emergency medical services, with a vision to expand to various centres across.

    We began with serving patients around Thika Road in Nairobi and so far we have conducted more than 4,500 successful deliveries, with zero maternal deaths to date. We continue to walk the extra mile to welcome each new mother as a family member and treat her with the love, dignity and attention she deserves.

    Our years of dedication and successful successful maternal health and family care services have obtained us global recognition as the best maternity hospital in Kenya focusing on expanding to additional services with mother and child as its core focus.

    JOB SUMMARY

    Education Higher Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery – PaediatricsDiploma in Clinical Medicine and SurgeryHold a valid practicing licenseExperience 2 years' experience in a busy environment, preferably a maternity hospital especially running the paediatric services and experience in working in a startup maternity facilityKnowledge and Skills Requirements Strong communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent analytical reasoning skills and meticulous attention to detailComputer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteKey competencies Commitment to providing high quality care and excellenceAbility to work effectively with a team in a culturally diverse environmentAbility to use initiative to solve problems is a key competence

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Monitoring and providing appropriate clinical care to patients;Examining and talking to patients to diagnose their medical conditions;Making notes and preparing paperwork, both as a legal record of treatment and for the benefit of other healthcare professionals;Coordinate and discuss planned care with the patient and other team professionals as appropriate;Maintain effective interpersonal relationships with all staff and patients;Ensure that patients are kept fully informed of and understand all procedures and treatments to be undertaken. Informed Consent will be obtained from patients in accordance with Jacaranda policy;Provide advice to patients regarding healthy lifestyles and specific measures that may help the patient avoid a recurrence of ill health;Any other duties as assigned.
