Tom Ouma

Tom Mungai Ouma is a managing partner of Nairobi Forensics LLP. With over 25 years of experience in accounting and tax areas in the private sector, he has specialised in Business recovery, Restructuring, and Tax practice and has acted for clients across the sectors of the economy.

Tom began his accounting career in 1998 immediately after graduating from the university upon completion of a bachelor’s degree in economics. He served as a lecturer at Springwood Commercial College in Kericho and East African School of Management.

He then shifted to work as accountant the dairy sector, a factory located at Kabianga in Kericho County, processing and distributing milk to the market. He later joined the hospitality sector after working in the dairy for 5 years as chief accountant, in which he rose through rank and file to become a financial controller in various star-rated hotels. His experiences from accounting and administration tasks led to significant improvements in his team working skills, cash flow management and he is a par excellence.

Tom, is a certified secretary, got into corporate governance and secretarial practice in the year 2012 after 13 years of post-experience in which he founded Jeto Corporate Secretaries and served as director.

He is a licensed insolvency practitioner and wholly dedicated to the areas of business recovery, restructuring, and tax practice at Nairobi Forensics LLP.
