- Develop and implement purchasing management policies and procedures.
- Maintaining inventory by implanting purchasing plans and close contact with suppliers.
- Consideration of potential supply risks from the supply base and proactively avoid or minimize them.
- Preparation and processing of requisitions and purchase orders for materials and equipment.
- Market survey and research.
- Inviting quotations from potential suppliers.
- Participating in evaluation of RFPs and quotations and therefore choosing a qualified supplier.
- Actively participating in receiving and inspection of goods once received in stores.
- Monitoring the movement of goods from the store by ensuring the right documentation and approvals.
- Processing of supplier invoices and cash sales receipts, booking and raising of GRN’s.
- Preparing invoices and initiating them for payment.
- Actively participating in pre-stock counts and annual stock-taking processes.
- Maintenance of re-order system and preparing requisitions for stock replenishment.
- Coordination and monitoring/management of junior staff.
- Maintenance of procurement records.
- Maintaining procurement code of ethics.
