 Duties and responsibilities 

  • Managing all Outsourced services; Security, Transport, Housekeeping, Waste management, Pest control, porters, landscaping, Facilities and Catering
  • Managing schedules for the Executive director including Executive’s calendar
  • Booking Venues for Board meeting, SMT and HODs, conducting pre visits to venues selected.
  • Making Transport arrangement including flight and accommodation plans for the SMTS and Executives.
  • Participate in vendor selection for consumables and equipment’s
  • Prepare the operating budget and resources including staff required to run the department 
  • Shortlist, interview, recruit induct and discipline the staff in the department 
  • Training and motivating staff with an aim of achieving the set objectives of the organization.
  • Conduct customer satisfaction surveys, respond to customers complaints log customers complaints, draft a root course analysis, and enhance measures to prevent re occurrence of customer complaints/dissatisfaction
  • Champion the ESG committee and prepare monthly ESG reports (Environmental Sustainability and Governance)
  • Ensure strict compliance with the local government requirements such as National Environment Management Authority and County regulations 
  • Build and maintain good work ethics /relationships with internal and external customers
  • Asses risks in the department and suggest possible solutions to eliminate risks

ACHIEVEMENTS

  • I was able to bring on board all outsourced suppliers-security, transport, housekeeping, waste management, laundry, catering pest control, porters, and landscaping
  • An active member of the OSH, ESG, Food Safety, Infection control, and Fire Safety and marketing committee  
  • A trained fire marshal and customer service champion
  • Member of UN Global Compact (United Nations)
  • Enhanced steady water supply in the hospital by introducing a direct water connection for 24 hours this enhanced efficiency from 75% to 100% it also reduced the high cost of Reverse Osmosis by 85%
  • Donated 250 seedlings to the office of first lady as part of the ESAP (Environment Social Assessment Program and CSS (Climate Safeguard System) and participated in planting of 211 seedlings
  • Implemented the use of treated wastewater at the hospital-Recycling 50% for housekeeping purposes

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Observe implementation of policies and projects as identified and stipulated in the manuals
  • Ensure compliance to legal and statutory requirements such as fire clearance as well as food hygiene clearance 
  • Monthly and weekly quality audits to ensure that all departments are aligned to the quality objective of the organization
  • Preparing systematized local purchase orders and creating goods received note.
  • Preparing the budget for the department
  • Recruiting, inducting, and training staff in the department.
  • Spearhead the food safety committee
  • Ensure seamless flow in nursing department and laundry department in matters pertaining linens
  • Develop, train, monitor implementation of housekeeping Policies and standard     operating procedures.
  • Monitoring the implementation of housekeeping policies.
  • Training on infections control hospital set up
  • Ensure adherence to pest control and waste management schedule 
  • Ensure availability of ambulances on daily basis.
