1. Employee Relations / Engagement
• Support in all aspects Industrial and employee relations including investigations; grievances; counseling; welfare, conflict mediation and resolution; disciplinary procedures etc.
• Support in employee engagement initiatives, communicating engagement/survey results, executing functional engagement action plans.
• Liaise with HOD and other key stakeholders on company event planning, execution and feedback for Bobmil

2. HR Services Compliance and Projects
• Implement HR initiatives and ensure factory level activities are aligned to group HR strategy.
• Participate in ensuring HR compliance levels in its processes, and lead in regards to such fundamentals as NITA, HSE, WIBA, BRCG, SMETA, ETI codes and other people compliance matters.
• Participate in developing department goals, objectives and systems
• Assist in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals
• Recommend innovative approaches, policies and procedures to affect continual improvements in efficiency to department and service performed
• Assist in preparation and review of Annual Manpower Planning and Annual Budget, Leave Planners
• Ensure timely renewal of Labour certificates corporate memberships
• Ensure that HR practices, policies are up to date in line with modern Labour practices and legislations and known at lowest levels.
• Contribute to enhanced efficiencies in HR processes and service levels
3. Resourcing & Recruitment
• Responsible for smooth coordination of end to end talent acquisition life cycle and in line with company policies and practices
• Assist Managers to develop job descriptions to cover vacancies in their departments whilst ensuring right skills, knowledge and competencies
• Search and negotiate with different providers (head-hunters, recruitment consultants etc.)
• Conduct exit interviews and off-boarding
• Maintain recruitment databases with focus on data integrity
4. Performance Management / Talent Development
• Support in resolving performance issues and ensuring performance conversations are happening as guided.
• Work closely with departments to assess training and organization development needs as well as Performance issues.
• Detect and analyze training needs for each area aligned with priorities and business strategy and create congruent training schedule
• Coordinate all practicalities with training providers
5. Rewards & Recognition
• Responsible for recommending, implementing and communicating Compensation & Benefits policies and processes to staff at factory level
• Work closely with departmental head in ensuring effective annual salary review and bonus plan implementation and communication.
• Support in preparing wage surveys and analysis within labor market to determine competitive wage rate and to ensure compliance and equity within Bobmil
6. Reporting
• Ensure congruity in human resource information systems records ensuring data accuracy and compiles reports
• Prepare error-free reports in timely manner, by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends on monthly, quarterly annual and ad-hoc as required
• Assisted with recruitment process by posting job ads, filtering applications, scheduling interviews, assisting in interview process and drafting offer letters
 

 

HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT
FLAMINGO HORTICULTURE (K) LTD
• Recruitment and selection: - facilitating departmental Labour requisition, facilitating adverts, shortlisting of applicants through screening, conducting interviews, conducting background checks, on boarding induction, orientation and placement of new employee within stipulated time
• Administering compensation and benefits to employees within stipulated timeline
• Participating in both internal and external audits i.e. BOPP, ETI, DOSH and KFC
• Facilitating and attending welfare meetings while taking minutes as directed by HRO
• Daily/ Weekly advice to departments and Monitoring of overtime and under time hours and immediate reporting where there is abnormally respectively

• Facilitating internal and external reporting, accurate filing and updating of accident report forms for all work-related accidents by all relevant parties within 3 days of accident occurrence
• Submit relevant documents for DOSH processing within a week
• Facilitating WIBA insurance claims and ensuring they are addressed and paid within stipulated time
• Prepare employment contracts and job descriptions for new employees and update same for existing employees as per details given by HRM
• Prepare certificate of service for all employees whose employment contracts are terminated promptly at the instruction of the HRM
• Ensuring employees' correspondences I.e. Transfers, promotions, contracts, confirmation letters and various letters for employees as instructed by HRM and issue same to concerned employees
• Controlling, administering and authorizing in co-ordination with each departmental head staff annual leaves, sick offs, maternity leaves, and appropriate leave travel allowances is paid.
