Priscah Ochollah

Priscah is a self-motivated and organized person whose values are based on interpersonal relationships. Studying law, she is building on her passion for drafting documents, legal research and writing, and serving the community in different capacities. 
Being proactive and creative are major skills she possesses.

January 2019- 2022: Secretary; JUSTICE PEACE RECONCILIATION AND CREATION COMMITTEE, PCEA LANGATA PARISH 

-        Participating in creating a JPRC week that will be able to inform the congregants and in turn general public about the basic legal knowledge that they ought to have. 

-        Assisted in organizing forums through which the congregation was sensitized on rampant issues that pertain family and succession laws. 

-        Sensitized various church parishes on the matters relating to voters’ registration, their rights on voting, the applicable laws and the importance of voting 

May 2019- July 2019: Legal Intern; INTERNATIONAL FINANCE CORPORATION, WORLD BANK GROUP 

-        Managed to draft different documents for various transactions with the legal department. 

-        Attended various client meetings as well as inter-departmental meetings which enabled me to be more conversant with the operations and culture of the organization. 

-        Learnt about how development finance institutions work and the capacity in which development in both the private and public sectors can be incorporated. 

-        Attended the London Charter for International Arbitration Conference 2019 which exposed me to different sectors and areas of concern in the arbitration field. 

-        Managed to do various short-courses through online learning and various talks that contributed to growth in my career path. 

-        Integrated more Microsoft Office skills to my experience. 

June 2018-July 2018: Legal Intern; TRIPLEOK ADVOCATES 

-        Managed to draft legal documents under supervision of different advocates in different departments 

-        Managed to attend several court hearings and record the events efficiently. 

April 2015-April 2018: Volunteer Leader; PCEA LANGATA PARISH 

-        Managed to plan the holiday month budgets for the Teens Ministry. 

-        Managed to organize and plan for their holiday month topics of discussion and games for the teens. 

-        Managed to organize trips and events at the end of the holiday Bible Study for the teens.
