WORK EXPERIENCE 

Volunteer Tutoring Ober High School and Primary School (January-August 2017) 

My time with the Ober High School and Primary School enabled me to deepen and refine my understanding of certain key concepts as I tutored various students from the institution. During my time here, I was able to further build on my problem-solving and teaching capabilities as I applied various teaching models to ensure that I was effectively connecting with the students I was tutoring.

United Nations Millenium Fellowship (August 2020- December 2020) 

As part of the United Nations Millenium Fellowship, I was commissioned to work on a "Sustainable Cities and Communities project." During my time here, I was able to engage with such concepts as urban planning, sustainable living, and the human-environment relationship. I could use my understanding of the real estate industry I had gained during my university years to tackle this project.

Odongo Kabita and Company Valuers (2017 and 2018)

During my time with the Odongo Kabita and Company Valuers, I utilized my understanding of the real estate market from my university years and applied it in a practical sense. Working as an intern enabled me to gain experience in appraisals, which was a key part of my experience. I also observed and understood the complex cost breakdowns and paperwork required when performing valuations of potential investments.

Liberty Hills (2021)

As a sales agent working for Liberty Hills, I quickly learned the necessary skills required of me when dealing with clients. Some key roles I had included understanding properties, preparing documents, and marketing properties, as noted in the MLS database. Furthermore, I was also able to gain insights into the multiple listing system and understand its importance when listing properties.

IEBC: County assistant Logistics Officer (2022) 

As an assistant county logistics officer, I was responsible for helping in the smooth running of various polling stations in Kakamega county. This included distributing election materials to various constituencies and helping to set up the various polling centers.

2004-2012: Oruba Primary School 

I attended Oruba Primary School for eight years, completing the Kenyan education curriculum and various extracurricular activities. During my time here, I proved to be a highly consistent and talented student, consistently being among the top 10 students in my cohort each year. I participated in debate competitions and was one of the members of the student council, enabling me to develop my leadership skills.

2013-2016: Kapsabet High School 

Kapsabet High School enabled me to take my education to a higher level and provided me with a concrete platform to hone my skillset. I utilized the knowledge gained from my primary school years to excel in the core subjects while diversifying my extracurricular activity by joining debate clubs and participating in various competitions. I was also part of the student council and managed to serve as the student leader in my second year at Kapsabet.

2017-2022: Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology 

This university provided me with a perfect platform to further develop my analytical and problem-solving skills in real estate. I was able to interact and form a better understanding of how the Kenyan real estate market works. Furthermore, I managed to get a second-class upper in the field, ensuring that I have the knowledge and aptitude to enter the real estate industry upon graduating.
