I am highly skilled In Logistics Management,  I have a degree in procurement and supplies management and have over six years’ experience in warehousing and procurement management. I also have a certification in auditing, Iso Standards, Integrated Management systems, Health and safety management, applying JIT, FIFO, LIFO, EOQ, ABC analysis, FSN analysis, safety stock, reorder point, demand & supply forecasting techniques so as to ensure there are no extra overstocking and understocking.
I am experienced in receiving goods, fast processing of requisitions, purchasing process, warehouse space management, inventory control and storekeeping. Am good at stocktaking and loss control, ensuring maximum warehouse space utilization, ensuring proper store layouts, Sales analysis and Performance, supplier relationship management, sourcing of supplies, SLOBS management; these are the areas I believe I can make a difference in any procurement and warehouse set up. I have previously used DMS, QuickBooks, Sage, Navision, Syspro and Material control system software in inventory management

Experience

Aug 2019-NOV 2021: OUTLOOK INDEX LTD Distributor Stock Controller

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Ensure shipments and inventory transactions accuracy including purchases, transfers, sales, returns. 

• Daily Stock valuation including distributor and all depots and sharing data with accounts department 

• Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work   • Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system 

 • Maintain standards of health and safety in daily operations, hygiene, and security

 • Conduct and plan for stock take at 6 depot branches country wide against system indication of stock at hand. Stock transfers to the depots and their stock reconciliation confirmation.

 • Security confirmation of company assets, Trucks, Alarm arming and CCTV before closing down.

 • Ensuring DMS stock confirmation tally with physical loading by Vehicle Sales Men’s per SKU. Preparing and sharing loading summary reports

 • Plan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results 

 • Prepare fast moving, slow moving and dead stock reports and sharing the same with sales team and committee, Sales analysis and performance of individual products and sales men weekly

 • Determine staffing levels in warehouse and assign casual duties

 • Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report

  • Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization in the warehouse.

 • Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations

  • Ensuring all stock purchases, Loadings, Returns, Transfers, sales (Back office and key accounts) are accurately posted on DMS system 

• Ensure stock transfers to Depots branches are done as required 

 • Dms stock reconciliation vs physical stock to ensure it reflects quantity at hand and real time inventory movement, through daily route settlement for BEER Brands, RTDS, wines, Leakers and empties in SKUs

 • Preparing and sharing daily stock reconciliation reports, highlighting any variances and explaining reports.

 • Ensuring proper coordination with DMS super user for overall DMS system management

 • Ensure all stock adjustments or reversals on DMS are approved as per requirement and sharing adjustment reports and corresponding approval 

 

July 2019- August 2019: OUTLOOK INDEX LTD Warehouse Stock Controller 

Duties and Responsibilities 

Ensure all stock purchases is done in time and captured by relevant departments.

 • Issuing and dispatch of products to salesmen and confirming loadings. 

• Inspection of quality and defects and tallying for of supplies and products from suppliers against invoices 

• Feeding product issues to Sales and invoices in the DMS and Microsoft NAV 

• Implementing warehouse operational policies and procedures. 

• Daily stocktaking and reconciliation data with DMS system. 

• Conducting physical counts of trucks and salesmen returns stock from the market and reconciling for sales. 

• Maintains physical conditions of the warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement. 

• Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees.

 • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols 

• Achieves financial objectives by preparing a monthly and quarterly budgets; scheduling expenditure; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions.

 • Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counselling, and planning, monitoring, appraisal of job results 

 

July 2017- June 2019: BIDCO LAND O’ LAKES Warehouse/Product Controller Duties and Responsibilities

• Raw material tracking and recording individual raw material input in the production process to make sure that user department intake corresponds to material issues and procurement receive real time material status information and reports as needed. 

• Making sure the safety and health standards protocols are adhered to in the production process, Safety shoes, hard helmet, Overall, Material handling gloves, Goggles and safety masks, and their production etiquette as a measure to prevent accidents. 

• Oversee overall production process runs smoothly ensuring Raw materials are used liaison set formulation of individual products and motivating production personnel in achieving shift targets.

 • Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitization of the production and warehouse floor after day’s production. 

• Recording production tonnage and performance and filing for future reference. • Assuring product quality after quality inspection by the quality assurance Team. 

• Moves inventory by scheduling materials to be moved from stores to production and coordinating inventory transfers with related departments. 

• Inspection of material handling equipment that include trolleys, Jack Pallets, Forklifts and arranging for their maintenance. 

• Communicating company objectives and policies to subcontracted force before the start of shifts

Maintains inventory of raw materials by conducting daily physical counts; reconciling variances; inputting data. 

• Ensure proper documentation for receiving of raw materials and Ensure that the stores are cleaned and sanitized at any one time 

• Supervise over 20 staff in the Stores and production to make sure raw materials component pass through all the required stages in production to make quality finished product as required. 

 • Undertake monthly stock taking processes in accordance with Company practice. 

• Optimizing operations at storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements while instituting the FIFO method in dispatching of products.

 • Instituting production program as the stores requirements of finished goods. 
 

April 2015- July 2017: FRESHA DAIRY PLANT Procurement Assistant Duties and Responsibilities: 

• purchase of materials needed in the plant by scheduling shipping and delivery times 

• Update internal databases with order details 

• Following up with suppliers to ensure quality, product quantity. 

• Feeding of delivered items in the company inventory list and following up for proper storage.

 • Record keeping, Liaison with user departments for particular items that need to be in purchase order. 

• Checking purchase orders for accuracy, completeness and clarity, verifying product information, cost and delivery dates. 

• Preparing purchase orders for components 

• Tracking orders to ensure timely deliveries of components.  Jan 2015- April 2015: FRESHA DAIRY PLANT Bill of Materials (BOM) Clerk Duties and Responsibilities 

• Maintenance, issuing products to dispatch and receiving and accounting for finished products from production

 • Posting of receipts, transfers and issues using Syspro ERP 

• Reconciliation of stocks received in warehouse and transferred finished goods 

• Reconcile stock daily between the physical stocks, the Sub Ledger & the general ledger and forward the same to the stock accountant.  

• Making entries of materials inwards and outwards of warehouse

 • Preparing and updating stock sheet 

Maintaining a continuous count of all goods moving in the warehouse  

• To ensure goods issued to dispatch is done accurately according to the issuing document i.e., invoice and adhering to batch numbers.

 •  Ensure that finished products is transferred from production floor within 24 hours after production through use of an Internal Transfer document 

 • Monthly and weekly stock taking 

• Maintaining minimum stock levels in stores and utilizing FIFO in transferring finished goods
