About Jacinta Wangare:
I am a Social Worker graduated with a bachelor degree from Moi University with a wide range of experience from International Development organizations. Since 2012 I have been fully implementing GBV/Child protection projects.
Experience
I have implemented programs that protect the most vulnerable persons. I have worked with partners to ensure persons of concern received Psychosocial support. I have represented the organizations that I have worked with in Civil Society Organization meetings, task force and coordination at the county and Community Level through Area Advisory Committees and Chief Barraza’s at the national government level. I have ensured integration of protection and inclusion in all the programs by incorporating protection and inclusion mainstreaming. I have carried out a protection and inclusion mainstreaming assessment across the departments to establish the gaps and interventions strategies.
Conduct Case Management in cases related to Gender Based Violence /Child Protection to ensure persons of concern received necessary support in legal, health and education through holistic approach. Compiled monthly, quarterly reports on behalf of partners and presented to the management through PRIMAS/CPIMS/GBVIMS database. I have designed training manuals and trained partners on Gender Equality and Inclusion(GESI), Prevention and response of Sexual Gender Based Violence, Child protection and other protection related topics.
Education
I am a graduate from Moi University with a Bachelor Degree in Social Work from the School of Arts and Social Sciences. I have been trained on Child Safeguarding policy, Monitoring and evaluation, Best Interest Determination and other protection related topics.
