Main roles

-Spearheading strategies to establish and on-board new Financial Institution and Correspondent relationships in both the local and foreign market.

-Implement the Financial Services strategy in line with the overall Corporate Banking Strategy; to ensure achievement of profitability targets through revenue maximization and prudent cost management.

-Build and maintain productive and strategic relations/partnerships with Financial Institutions/Treasury/Sector Heads/ Branch Network/Relationship Managers/Stakeholders to drive the development and delivery of FI solutions and revenue growth for the portfolio.

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Partnership development

  • Lead key partnerships - Providing outstanding and holistic support to the established key  partners.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners while ensuring that the relationships are strong and fluid.
  • Drive proactive follow ups and timely completion of partnership action items.

 

Project Management

  • Project manage all key aspects of key partnerships internally. Track the key deliverables ensuring that the set targets are met and full value is received from the established partnerships.
  • Act as the key point of contact between the internal teams (operations, compliance, audit, finance, Treasury, trade finance).

Tools and processes

 

  •  Excellent use of our tools and processes (Microsoft-excel, power point, word, teams-, Google- Drive, meet) for meetings and sharing of information to groups. 

 

Partner contracting

  • Review and manage the contracting process with our key partners.

 

Meetings coordination

  • Preparation and management of meeting agendas and driving partner meetings themselves, taking notes and sharing minutes, as well as proactive and timely follow up for actions coming out from the meetings.
  • Cross functional team leadership
  • Cross-functional communication and processes
  • Collaborate with the Operations Department to ensure successful, on-time delivery to partners.
  • Maintain excellent account financial health with the Finance Department
  • Collaborating and engaging with FIs to market FI cash, Trade and Treasury business and identify new opportunities for partnerships.
  • Strategize with the Marketing Department to determine marketing initiatives required to convert new partners.

Reporting

  • Preparing and presenting Credit reports for Board approval of new and renewal of existing FI lines of credit.
  • Build and manage sales forecast together with partners on a regular basis and report to the management team on progress and challenges during weekly sales meetings.
  • Keeping abreast with the latest Market developments and providing updated reports to the business regularly to support strategic decision making and growth plan.

Training

  • Identify training opportunities through networking with experts across the partnerships.
  • Arrange for training of staff both online and physical.

Travel

  • Represent the bank in conferences, trainings and meetings with partners located across the globe.

My main role predominantly involved establishing and maintain banking relationships with special focus on Africa, Asia, Middle East regions.
