About Edna Choge:

A Key Account Manager with a sales and marketing background spanning over 10 years and solid background developing strategies for international trade and emerging markets. Over the course of my career, I have achieved promotions into progressive roles of leadership due to my ability to develop and implement growth strategies that have achieved company revenue and expansion goals. My innovative approach to establishing robust relationships with international clients, key stakeholders and leadership teams serves as an asset of value with development departments. Experience

I spearhead the account management and development of international direct customers in Canada, Sweden, Middle East, UK, Europe, Germany and parts of Asia in respect of the following:

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Hold a key role as the lead liaison between the international and local customers and the unit farms by ensuring customer requirements are met;
  • Utilizing market research findings to develop good rapport with local and international customers during expansion to attract new customers, establish partnerships with existing clients and identify new business opportunities;
  • Spearhead price and contract negotiations with international and local clients to secure best market rates and ensuring customer information and contractual agreements are up to date;
  • Collaborating with business development and marketing manager to prepare marketing development plans, strategies, policies, budget and related documents;
  • Utilizing the internal system to generate and prepare weekly, monthly and peak period sales forecasts and schedules to support strategic decision making;
  • Providing strategic leadership and guidance to the junior staff in marketing department, including facilitating capacity building sessions to enhance a thriving and productive team;
  • Collaborating with the IT team to update the organization’s website and manage the social media platforms;
  • Preparing quarterly board papers for the directors including following up on agenda and action items as required.

 

Key Achievements 

  • Implemented successful strategies that focused on the less price sensitive customer segments and this contributed towards an increased sales volume by 30% from last year in a highly competitive environment; 
  • Leveraged interpersonal skills while applying customer focused methods that have been instrumental in achieving a high level of customer satisfaction;
  • I have played a pivotal in developing and establishing strong international trade partnerships between the company and the clients;
  • Implemented are robust communication channel and engagement strategy with clients which has contributed to the increase of market share and built trust;
  • Spearheaded the development of new territories and new markets like the Chinese market (emerging markets) at 10%;
