PROCUREMENT/STORES ASSISTANT
KITUI CONTY REFERAL HOSPITAL 2021 UP TO PRESENT

·   Receive orders and deliveries and stores materials in accordance with the system in force, in order to ensure continuous availability (ensure correct fill in entries on the stock cards and software, prepare orders of the different consumption units ensuring the packaging and proper dispatching, reporting any anomalies or changes in consumption patterns, follow stock alert limit .)

·   Carry out in regular inventories

·   Control and ensure good storage conditions of all items in the store (monitor temperature in the warehouse, follow up cold chain items, ensure cleanliness of stock, maintain refrigerating equipment in close collaboration with the logistics department)

·   Follows up stock levels with regards to alarms thresholds, stock out, expiry dates and drugs to expire. Make a report and passes it to the supervisor-Checking stock levels, tracking orders and carrying out stock checks on a regular basis.
-Ordering new stock when levels fall below an agreed level.
-Being responsible for the security of the stores.
-Checking that the stock matches the delivery sheet and that it is not damaged.
-Logging the delivery on to a computer system.
-Making sure stock is stored in the correct place and in the right conditions.
-Keeping the storeroom in good order and well stocked.

Achieving high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods. Other key tasks are; 
Planning, organizing and controlling all warehouse operational activities to ensure achievement of client deliverables.
Daily monitoring of stock levels through use of SAP to ensure zero stock expiries and optimum stock levels in line with stock policy
Supervising materials issuing & receipt, loading & unloading and binning, raising GRNs on confirmation of the packing list against LPOs.
Controlling inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system. achieving 99% inventory accuracy
Performing daily spot checks on warehouse documentation and archiving to ensure compliance
Operating Cost management; Monitoring warehouse spend, Budget rolling estimate revision.
Managing an active warehouse team, training, motivating and assigning them tasks in ensuring work was done to the expected standards.
Implementing advanced quality control procedures, resulting in a 77% decrease in product returns and complaints.
Revamped the existing Inventory system within the first 4 months of joining, making it 50% more efficient than before and increased inventory efficiency
Brought down inventory variances within the warehouse to less than 2%  from approximately 10% recorded previously.

Makueni County Government | January-May 2017.
Assisted the Procurement Officer who was my immediate supervisor by ensuring the day-to-day operations meet the departmental service charter and the people of Makueni expectations. The key tasks include: -
Taking part in contacting, evaluating, vendor selection and developed contracts, terms and deadlines with vendors and suppliers. 
Evaluated applications for new suppliers and appraised the existing ones in order to update the approved suppliers lists per range of products.
